VCA Milwaukee Emergency Center for Animals located in Greenfield, WI is looking for a Relief Emergency Veterinarian who enjoys practicing advanced medicine with a cohesive, dynamic team. We are seeking candidates to add to our relief roster to support our growing practice and offer coverage for our staff doctors.
VCA MECA is an emergency and critical care hospital that sees a unique case load of dogs, cats and exotics. We are open 24/7 and have been serving the Milwaukee community for over 10 years.
You will enjoy working in MECA’s modern, full-service facility. The hospital boasts a spacious treatment area, special procedures room, two surgical suites, and specialized isolation and exotic wards. We are also equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy. Additionally, our intensive care unit offers the capability of oxygen and temperature support, continuous fluids and infused medicine, and advanced patient monitoring. Completing the hospital is an in-house laboratory and pharmacy. We also run an on-site blood donor program.

- Day shift (6:00am to 6:00pm)
- Swing shift (12:00pm to 12:00am)
- Night shift (6:00pm to 6:00am)
- Proficiency in handling both minor and complex emergency cases as well as being able to provide excellent ongoing medical care to hospitalized intensive care, medical and surgical cases.
- Surgical aptitude for routine surgical emergencies.
- An ability to provide compassionate care to patients, clients and co-workers.
- A desire to collaborate with and educate other associate veterinarians and staff within the hospital
