VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is an 18 doctor hybrid hospital seeking experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team in a PT/Relief Veterinary Technician. We have openings in both our ER Service nights and weekends as well as our General Practice service for days and weekends.
We are proud to be one of the premier providers of primary, specialty and emergency care located in the heart of the beautiful Fingerlakes region in Upstate New York. We serve our clients 24hrs a day 365 days a year.

Compensation: $25 - $28 is based on skill set, experience, and licensure status. (LVT, VTS, CVPM).

The skills that you will be utilizing include a multitude of technical skills to include but not limited to:
- Triage and assessment of the critical ill patient
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Invasive monitoring
- CT/Radiology
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Physical examinations and patient assessment
- CRI's, blood transfusions, IV and oral medication administration
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Medical record input- history taking
- Client communication to include discharges and patient updates.

Technical ability to include compassionate handling and restraint, strong patient assessment and monitoring skills, the ability to perform supportive and invasive therapies and emergency procedure. Compassionate care of our hospitalized patients
