VCA Avondale Veterinary Hospital is looking for a caring and dependable Patient Care Attendant to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with animals and wants to gain hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital.
Schedule: Part-time opportunity.
What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate care and attention to hospitalized and boarding pets
- Feed, walk, and monitor animals according to their individual care instructions
- Clean and maintain kennels, treatment areas, and other hospital spaces
- Assist the veterinary team with basic animal handling and patient care
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff
- Monitor patients and communicate any changes or concerns to the veterinary team
- Stock supplies and assist with general hospital duties as needed
- Provide excellent care and a positive experience for both pets and their owners
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with animals is a plus, but not required
- A genuine passion for animal care and welfare
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments
- Reliable, dependable, and willing to be a team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to safely lift and carry animals and supplies as needed
