Compensation: The page range for this position is $24-$26/hr
VCA Anderson's Corner Animal Hospital has an opportunity for you to join our incredible team! We are hiring a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our hospital. We are a 2 doctor small animal practice offering Primary Care, Dentistry, and Surgery, including orthopedic surgery.
About the Role
Whether you are a seasoned Veterinary Technician or recent graduate, we want you to use the knowledge that you’ve invested your time and talent in. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:
- Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures
- Venipuncture and IVC placement
- Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Dentistry
- Treatment plans, medical recordkeeping
- Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them
- Provide compassionate patient care, recognizing subtle change in clinical status
- Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team
