VCA Animal Emergency Hospital Southeast Calder Road is looking for a Day and Night Shift Emergency Veterinary Technician (Full-time and Part Time) to join their one-of-a-kind Emergency and Critical Care Hospital!
Schedule: full time, 3x12s or 4x9s, with weekends and holidays required. Day and night shifts available.
Pay Range: $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
Location: 1108 Gulf Fwy S Suite 280 League City, TX 77573
Veterinary Technician Experience required. Emergency experience preferred. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift over 30 pounds without assistance. Must be able to place IV Catheters, surgery monitoring, triage emergency cases, manage hospitalized cases, communicate efficiently with doctors and staff, calculate drug dosing, administer medications via injection, oral, and topical routes. Standard hospital cleaning duties. Follow hospital checklists and protocols. Maintain highest standard of patient care.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:
- Venipuncture, IV Catheter placement and anesthesia experience a must!
• Maintaining medical records.
• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
• Filling prescriptions.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
