We are seeking an experienced and motivated Manager of Respiratory Care to join our team in White Plains, NY. This leadership role collaborates closely with the Technical Director and Medical Director to oversee clinical operations, staff performance, and regulatory compliance for the Respiratory Therapy department.
Position Overview
The Manager of Respiratory Care assists in supervising and coordinating respiratory therapy services across all shifts, ensuring high-quality, patient- and family-centered care. In the absence of the Technical Director, this role assumes responsibility for departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and support respiratory therapy staff across all shifts
- Promote evidence-based, high-quality, and cost-effective respiratory care
- Lead performance management, evaluations, and professional development
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body regulations
- Collaborate on development and implementation of policies, protocols, and competencies
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, education, and staff orientation
- Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcome measures
- Serve as a clinical and professional role model within the interdisciplinary team
- Manage time and attendance using Kronos
- Be present and flexible during regulatory inspections
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Current New York State Respiratory Therapy license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Minimum 5 years of recent acute care respiratory therapy experience
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS (AHA) required or obtained within 3 months of hire
- Previous management or leadership experience preferred
- Master’s Degree strongly preferred
Preferred Credentials
- Neonatal Pediatric Specialty (NPS)
- CPFT
- Active member of the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $90,000 – $140,000
