Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OB Scrub Technician to join our Labor & Delivery team. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Registered Nurse, the OB Scrub Technician assists during surgical procedures by preparing and handling instruments, supplies, and equipment while maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields.
- Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
- Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs.
- Ensure adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards.
- Support patient safety and quality care during operative procedures.
- Assist the surgical team throughout Labor & Delivery surgical cases.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must meet one of the following:
- Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Surgical Technology program and maintain Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification; OR
- Completion of a military surgical technology program; OR
- Qualify under applicable grandfathering provisions; OR
- Currently serving in the federal government performing surgical technology duties.
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
- Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Previous Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
Pay: $73,000.00 - $109,000.00 per year
