Job Title: RN Cath Lab (RN)
Location: Passaic, NJ 07055
Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Initially)
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
On-Call Requirement: Yes
Pay Rate: $80/hr on w2
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and other cardiovascular procedures.
- Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient status throughout procedures.
- Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the cardiovascular team regarding patient condition and procedural needs.
- Prepare procedure rooms, verify equipment readiness, and maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available for scheduled procedures.
- Administer medications and interventions according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Assist with patient education regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and post-procedure care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental performance improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of New Jersey (or compact eligibility if applicable).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
- Current ACLS certification required and must be maintained.
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care setting.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
Pay: Up to $80.00 per hour
