Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Psychologist to provide mental health services within a correctional healthcare setting. The psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and ongoing psychological care to inmates/residents.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient outcomes while working within a structured behavioral health environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations, screenings, and clinical assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and therapeutic interventions
- Conduct crisis assessments and behavioral health evaluations
- Perform rounds in segregation and specialized housing units
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, physicians, and security staff
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case reviews
- Support mental health stabilization and rehabilitation efforts
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted Psychologist License in the state of practice
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- At least 1 year in a comparable psychologist rolef
- Must be Board Eligible to obtain privileges
- BLS certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in correctional, forensic, detention, or institutional settings
- Strong crisis intervention and behavioral health assessment skills
- Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Salary : $115 - $125
