Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our healthcare team in Beckley, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will assist the surgical team in preparing for and performing surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, clean, and sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment before procedures.
- Ensure surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and other surgical team members during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field and follow infection prevention protocols.
- Count surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies before and after procedures.
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Follow established patient safety standards and hospital policies.
- Clean and organize the operating room after procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist course or program.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a surgical team.
Compensation
- Annual Salary: $49,878 – $65,000, based on qualifications and experience.
