Job Description: Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Overview
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and shipping materials and products while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting daily warehouse operations. This position ensures all shipments and receipts are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
· Prepare and process outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and shipping documentation.
· Maintain accurate inventory records and complete inventory transactions in company systems.
· Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
· Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
· Coordinate with operations, suppliers, customers, and carriers regarding shipments and deliveries.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
· Follow all company safety policies and properly use required PPE.
· Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and shipping issues to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory experience.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
Preferred
- Forklift experience or certification.
- Automotive or manufacturing experience.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
Salary : $18 - $23
