THE POSITION:

Reporting to VaxCare’s CEO, the Director of Strategic Projects and Insights works on project teams to solve complex client problems by conducting research, performing data analysis, and developing recommendations for clients like payers and providers. Key responsibilities include supporting project management, analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data, and communicating findings and solutions through client-facing presentations and reports. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Data analysis and research: Conduct primary and secondary research on markets, competitors, and treatment patterns using large datasets and specialized tools. Perform quantitative analysis, which may include financial modeling and developing predictive models.
• Client engagement: Build relationships with and interview stakeholders, such as health system executives, physicians, and patients. Support client meetings and workshops.
• Problem-solving and strategy: Contribute to brainstorming sessions to develop project methodologies and strategic recommendations. Help translate data and research findings into actionable business cases and strategic insights.
• Deliverables and communication: Support the development of high-quality client deliverables, such as reports and presentations, and help prepare to present findings to clients.
• Project management: Assist with project management efforts, support project plans, and help ensure project deadlines and objectives are met.
• Team and firm support: Work as part of a project team, collaborate with colleagues, and support internal activities like recruiting and knowledge sharing.

REQUIRED ESSENTIALS:

• Analytical and quantitative skills: Strong ability to analyze large datasets and perform quantitative analysis, sometimes using tools like SQL, R, or Python.
• Healthcare knowledge: Understanding of healthcare laws (like HIPAA), industry rules, and healthcare systems is often required.
• Project management skills: Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and contribute to project planning and execution.
• Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present complex findings clearly and concisely to clients and colleagues.
• Problem-solving: Ability to use critical thinking to identify problems, develop solutions, and apply judgment to address client needs.
• Educational background: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field like life sciences, economics, public health, or a quantitative discipline is common.

OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Travel Requirements: This role requires a high-level of travel to our Orlando corporate office, including overnight travel when necessary.
• Commuting: Must have a reliable form of transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Occasional lifting: Ability to lift, carry, and set up hardware or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Visual acuity: The job requires the ability to view a computer screen and read documents for extended periods.
• Repetitive motions: Significant use of the hands, wrists, and fingers is required for tasks like typing, using a computer mouse, and moving hardware
• Work Environment: Comfortable working in both office and field environments, including prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or computer work.
• Communication: Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing, with internal teams and external partners.
• Remote Work Requirements: Must have private, distraction-free workspace suitable for confidential and focused work and reliable high-speed internet to support video conferencing and regular computer use.
