JOB SUMMARY

The driver, under supervision of the Operations Manager, will perform driving duties for our small; construction dumpster, roll-off container business. The driver will operate single-axle non-CDL trucks or Tandem CDL Trucks. The driver will assist in the development of the local market area and interact regularly with all Directors, service managers and customers. The driver will also report all issues and concerns requiring attention to the Operations Manager. This role will include daily operations in the development of the Birmingham/ Tuscaloosa business. Upward mobility and career advancement available.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Drive safely and within all laws and company regulations as not to do harm to the public, themselves, other property and the equipment

· Ensures that the daily workload is completed in accordance with company policies and standards.

· Perform driving duties, pick-up/delivery of containers

· Coordinates between all departments including maintenance and central dispatch to ensure the highest quality of service possible is being provided.

· Conducts inspections on all company vehicles on a regular basis.

· Coordinates with the central dispatch office

· Evaluates equipment quality and availability on a daily basis

· Reviews and/or investigates all accidents.

· Attends all safety meetings.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Passing of background check and periodic drug testing

QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong set of values/moral principles

CDL Preferred

· Clean driving record

· Positive attitude

· Entrepreneurial spirit; ability to sell

· Strong logistical aptitude

· Capable of quickly learning relevant computer systems

· On the job experience operating single-axle non-cdl trucks (CDL not required but preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $27.00 per hour
