Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Oil & Gas Construction Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects within the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, manage project schedules and budgets, and deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Primary responsibilities:
· Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of oil and gas construction projects from initiation through completion
· Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently
· Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to meet project objectives
· Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards
· Review engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans for accuracy and constructability
· Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and progress reviews
· Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
· Coordinate with clients, engineers, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
· Prepare project reports and schedule updates for management and clients
· Resolve field issues, change orders, and construction conflicts promptly
· Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Ideal qualifications:
· 3 years of construction management experience in the oil and gas industry
· Experience with pipelines, compressor stations, processing facilities, refineries, terminals, or upstream/downstream construction projects
· Excellent understanding of piping and equipment associated with Natural Gas facilities
· Some basic understanding of welding and welding codes. Coating and record keeping
· Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
· Ability to travel to project sites and work in field environments as required
Preferred experience:
· OSHA 30 Certification
· PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is helpful
· First Aid/CPR certification
· Experience managing EPC or EPCM projects
· Knowledge of API, ASME, and industry construction and design standards
