SUMMARY
Oversees all Scheduling, Materials, Purchasing and Customer Service activities by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the Materials Group, Customer Service and accompanying staff.
Manage production scheduling of all incoming customer orders and customer pulls from min/max inventories.
Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, efficiencies and human resource requirements.
Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences, processes and lead times.
Develop priority list for supervisors to guide daily production requirements and job assignments for critical presses.
Participate in resource planning from materials and employees to press capacity. Identify constraints and participate in problem solving discussions.
Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Schedule downtime for such activities as mold cleaning, engineering samples, and preventive maintenance.
Prepares production reports and submits improvement plans to the Business Unit Manager and Controller.
Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment (capacity requirements).
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee Supply Chain Specialist & Customer Service Manager
SCHEDULING RESPONSIBILITIES
Schedule the manufacturing operations to fully utilize the equipment, manpower and facilities. This includes insuring the implementation of Lean manufacturing principles where they add efficiencies and quick mold changes to take advantage of equipment downtime during mold configuration changes and mold repairs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a lean manufacturing facility and master scheduling.
