Role Description This full-time Tax Specialist role is a hybrid position based in Columbus, OH, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. The Tax Specialist will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and assist with tax planning for diverse client portfolios. Qualifications
- Strong skills in Tax Preparation and Tax, including experience preparing individual and business returns.
- Proficiency in Tax Planning and Finance, with the ability to analyze financial data and recommend tax-efficient strategies.
- Working knowledge of Tax Law, including current federal and state regulations and the ability to research tax issues.
- Experience with tax and accounting software, strong attention to detail, and solid organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage multiple engagements, and meet strict filing deadlines.
- Relevant certification or education such as EA, CPA, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
