Job Summary
Vault Security, LLC. is seeking a vigilant, professional, and customer-service-oriented Unarmed Security Specialist for a dedicated fixed post (standpost) position at our client's location. The primary role is to maintain a high-visibility security presence, control access, and ensure the safety and security of premises, personnel, and visitors through observation, reporting, and adherence to post orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control: Monitor and control the ingress and egress of all personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the assigned checkpoint.
- Visitor Management: Verify identification, issue visitor passes, log all entries and exits accurately, and provide directions or assistance as needed.
- Vigilance & Observation: Maintain constant alertness at the standpost, actively observing for suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, or safety hazards.
- Patrols (As Required): Conduct periodic, brief foot patrols around the immediate post area to ensure all adjacent doors and windows are secure.
- Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for all emergencies (fire, medical, security issues), initiating appropriate protocols and contacting emergency services or management promptly.
- Reporting: Write clear, concise, and detailed daily activity reports (DARs) and incident reports regarding all irregularities, maintenance issues, or security breaches.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients, staff, and the public.
- Equipment Monitoring: Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and other security equipment at the post.
- Post Orders Adherence: Thoroughly know and strictly comply with all site-specific Post Orders and company policies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Required Certification: Must possess a valid Arizona Guard Card.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: 0-1 years of experience in a security or related public-facing role is preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English required.
- Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and make sound judgments under pressure.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and log entries.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and remain alert for extended periods (e.g., up to 12 hours per shift).
- Physical capacity to respond quickly to emergency situations.
Availability:
- Must be flexible to work various shifts, including 12 hour shifts, on call shifts, short notice availability.
