Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas as needed
- Support food preparation activities by ensuring clean workspaces and tools are available
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health and safety standards
- Handle food items safely following proper food handling procedures
- Assist with basic food prep tasks when required, including chopping or assembling ingredients
- Support catering events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service
- Follow all sanitation guidelines to uphold hygiene standards in the kitchen and dining areas
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations including bussing, food prep, and serving
- Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff members
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads when necessary
