Position Overview
Vaughn Construction is seeking an Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate accounting records for receipts and/or disbursements. Duties include performing a variety of complex clerical and entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records.

Position Overview
Vaughn Construction is seeking an Accounting Specialist to ensure accurate accounting records for receipts and/or disbursements. Duties include performing a variety of complex clerical and entry-level bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Processes high volume of AP invoices and Check Runs
- Manages AP invoice emails
- Process and route invoices in accounting software after determining job number and sales tax.
- Answer vendor and project team inquiries.
- Manage vendor statement of accounts.
- Performs other duties to ensure successful services are delivered and customers are satisfied.
- Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Associate degree (AA) or Equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; High School graduate or equivalent.
- Two to five years of accounting or related experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Skilled in 10-key by touch is a plus.
- Kowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
- Knowledge of Sage 300 and pVault (Paperless System)
- Ability to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance.
- Meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
- Adapts to change in the work environment.
- Manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Detailed oriented, good with basic math, and can work in a team environment.
