Responsibilities: Understands the 5 levels of finishing and can demonstrate each.Experience with “Production Finishing” utilizing tools such as: Bazookas, Banjos, Flat and angle boxes, corner rollers, and power sanders.Measures and cuts drywall panels to fit in and around specific spaces such as doors, windows, electrical outlets, and lighting fixtures.Inspects drywall surfaces for imperfections (screw heads, misaligned joints, bad hanging etc.) Marks drywall surface with pencil prior to starting.Installs drywall panels to wood or metal studs.Uses drywall compound to fill in and cover joints, screws, nails, and other imperfections.Sands joint compound once dry and applies drywall tape.Eliminates visible joints, knows how to eliminate air bubbles, tapes are not blistered, switch and receptacle boxes are finished tight.Install cornerbead, trim beads, reveal beads straight, plumb and on tight utilizing string lines, laser, square, or straight edge.Understands importance of tool maintenance and daily cleanup of production tools.Ability to work independently.Able to inspect a quality produced wall or ceiling.Discipline to check bead alignment with laser or straight edges.Skill required to patch/repair existing drywall into like-new appearance.Creates textured surfaces when requested.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience and skill with Production Finishing.Ability to estimate quantity of materials required for a project.Ability to measure and cut drywall to fit in specific spaces.Excellent hand-eye coordination.Understands production work and can operate all production finishing tools.Has the experience to be safe with stilts, baker scaffolding, and ladders.Accountability with a commitment to accuracy.Good people skills, positive attitude, and the ability to operate as part of a team.Detail oriented and comfortable with manufacturing processes.Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Be physically able to perform various job site tasks as well as lifting materials and walking & standing most of the workday.Additional InformationThe Pay Range for this position is $23 - $31.50 hourly.
