Role Description
As a full-time Vascular Access Clinician in Fayetteville, NC, on scheduled workdays you will join a skilled on-site team to provide vascular access at the patient's bedside, with possible off-site coverage as needed. As a Vascular Access Specialist, you will clinically assess the patient and recommend the best course of treatment. You will be a professional, independent member of an organized, professional team.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Provide patient consultations for Vascular Access Device appropriateness using diagnosis, intravenous plan of therapy, prognosis, and medical/surgical history.
- Set up and perform vascular access procedures as ordered in accordance with skill set. Appropriately trained and credentialed clinicians may set up and perform basic (PICC, Midline, peripheral IV) insertion, or when indicated and approved by MD, perform advanced (IJ, Axillary, Femoral line) insertion.
- Understand and use all required infection prevention measures, including hand washing, PPE, and maximal sterile field for all insertions.
- Use ultrasound guidance for all MST insertions and difficult to visualize IV access.
- Understand and perform complete documentation and full report to appropriately licensed person caring for patient post insertion.
- Ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures regarding medical practice, cleanliness, and COVID-19 spread control.

Schedule: Typically four (4) 10-hour shifts per week. Occasionally shift hours will be extended due to patient, client, or company needs. Weekend and holiday rotation required.
