Job Title: Medical Assistant
Department: Clinical Services
Position Type: Hourly, Fulltime
Supervisor: Nurse Practitioner Lead/CMA Supervisor
Job Summary
This Medical Assistant position works on the clinical team by preparing patients to be seen by the provider. Medical information is obtained from patients and entered in the electronic medical record.
Responsibilities
- Takes patient's history, weight and vital signs
- Completes required documentation in the electronic medical record
- Prepares exam rooms and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
- Assists in wound care and dressing changes
- Completes a medication reconciliation on each patient at each visit
- Other duties and responsibilities as required
- Possibilities of working along side of one of our Nurse Practitioner
Position Requirements:
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- Current BLS certification
- Good communication and human relations skills
- At least 2 years Medical Assistant experience required'
