Position Summary
The Van Lead is responsible for managing the employees that transport the vehicles from one location to the other in the van that they are assigned to. Primary goals are to ensure that the requirements of our customer requirements are met.
The Van Leads report to the Yard Manager and / or Group Leader and has direct responsibility to ensure that all rules are complied with.
Position Responsibilities:
- Know the inspection process and train team on standardized inspections process. i.e. (FVS-00-22_.Standard Inspection Process)
- Know how to use equipment (scanners/computer/etc.)
- Fill out necessary paperwork on a daily basis
- Understand the Rules of the Road and conduct safety meetings daily
- Manage a staff of Driver/ Porters
- Coordinate breaks to ensure high productivity
- Follow Management direction on the best route for moving vehicles in a safe manner.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Education

High school diploma or GED.
Training

Computer training helpful, but not necessary.
