Varstaff is looking for a Buyer II SAAS:
Role Overview & Location
Location: Open to remote initially, but requires relocation to El Segundo, CA; Kent, WA; or Florida (Merritt Island/Cape Canaveral/Melbourne) upon permanent conversion.
Core Focus: Execute end-to-end contract procurement for software services, IT/ET hardware, and SaaS subscriptions to support fast-paced aerospace operations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Execution: Process purchase requisitions, convert them to purchase orders, and maintain accurate documentation for compliance and audits.
Contract Negotiation: Review and negotiate software licensing agreements, SaaS contracts, pricing, and renewal terms to minimize risk and maximize cost savings.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to clarify requirements while managing vendor relationships regarding delivery and invoicing.
Data & Analysis: Track metrics (cost savings, cycle times), support spend analysis, and identify opportunities for vendor consolidation.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 3–5 years of procurement experience with a dedicated focus on indirect categories (SaaS, software licensing, and IT/ET hardware).
Systems: Proficiency with major ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa) managing high transactional volume.
Core Skills: Strong negotiation, contract interpretation, and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry Context: Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech manufacturing.
Compliance: Familiarity with government contracting regulations (FAR/DFARS).
Tools & Analysis: Experience with contract lifecycle management tools and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
Certification: Professional supply chain certification (e.g., CPSM, CPM).
