What We Look For In a Mac Basic Computer Skills Tutor

Emphasizes building comfort with the Mac interface and connects skills to academic work, creative projects, and professional productivity.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Mac computer training needs and common challenges such as transitioning from Windows, understanding Mac-specific gestures and shortcuts, and managing iCloud storage. Adapts instruction using guided interface tours, hands-on practice sessions, and tip sheets to support new Mac users including students, professionals, and seniors building confidence and proficiency with Apple computers.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
