- Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of fluid statics, fluid dynamics, Bernoulli equation, Navier-Stokes equations, viscous flow, boundary layers, pipe flow, dimensional analysis, open channel flow, and compressible flow fundamentals. Ability to explain Reynolds number significance, drag and lift forces, and turbulence concepts while preparing students for mechanical, civil, and aerospace engineering applications.
- Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving: Skilled at breaking down pressure distribution calculations, control volume analysis, and pipe network problems. Guides students through applying momentum and energy equations, solving Moody chart friction factor problems, analyzing pump and turbine performance, and designing basic piping systems. Emphasizes connecting mathematical analysis to physical fluid behavior and engineering design applications.
- Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with fluid mechanics curricula and common challenges such as applying the Reynolds transport theorem, understanding viscous versus inviscid flow assumptions, and interpreting dimensional analysis results. Adapts instruction using flow visualization videos, worked engineering examples, and computational fluid dynamics demonstrations to support engineering students at the undergraduate and introductory graduate levels.
- Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
