Overview:

The Director of Marketing at Nerdy will drive user acquisition, conversion optimization, and revenue growth for our comprehensive portfolio of AI-powered educational technology products. In this critical position, you will develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies to scale our live online learning platform that connects learners of all ages with expert educators across 3,000 subjects. You'll be responsible for optimizing customer acquisition costs, increasing conversion rates, and maximizing lifetime value across all marketing channels. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Consumer Sales, and Design, you'll build and optimize marketing funnels that efficiently convert prospects into paying customers for our educational solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, or other related quantitative fields.
  • 10 years of experience in performance marketing or growth marketing, preferably in consumer technology or subscription-based businesses.
  • Proven track record of scaling marketing campaigns across paid search, social media, display, and other digital channels.
  • Experience with customer acquisition, funnel optimization, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Strong expertise in marketing analytics, A/B testing, and attribution modeling.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Experience managing significant marketing budgets with a focus on ROI and efficiency metrics.
  • Experience with marketing to both B2C and B2B customers.
  • Data-driven approach with strong analytical abilities to measure and optimize marketing performance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where AI technology is constantly evolving.
  • Proven ability to use AI solutions to drive marketing scale, efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive performance marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention for Nerdy's suite of learning products.
  • Manage and optimize multi-channel digital marketing campaigns across paid search, paid social, display, affiliate, email, and emerging channels.
  • Own key performance metrics including CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and ROAS across all marketing channels.
  • Build, test, and refine marketing funnels to efficiently convert prospects into Learning Membership subscribers.
  • Implement robust testing frameworks to continuously optimize landing pages, ad creative, and conversion paths.
  • Develop audience targeting strategies to reach high-value customer segments for both consumer and institutional offerings.
  • Lead marketing automation initiatives to deliver personalized messaging across the customer journey.
  • Establish dashboards and reporting systems to track performance and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop high-performing ad creative that drives engagement and conversions.
  • Analyze customer acquisition costs and lifetime value across segments to identify opportunities for profitable growth.
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends and technologies to maintain a competitive advantage in customer acquisition.
