What We Look For In a Arabic Tutor

• Advanced Subject Mastery: Deep knowledge of Arabic script, root-pattern morphology, noun and verb conjugation, case marking, Modern Standard Arabic grammar, regional dialect awareness, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, and cultural literacy. Ability to explain the trilateral root system, verb forms, hamza rules, and the distinction between MSA and colloquial varieties while preparing students for academic or professional Arabic proficiency.
• Conceptual Teaching & Problem-Solving: Skilled at teaching Arabic script reading and writing, root-pattern vocabulary analysis, and grammatical structure application. Guides students through verb conjugation across ten forms, noun-adjective agreement, constructing idafa constructions, and reading authentic Arabic texts. Emphasizes connecting written MSA with spoken dialect exposure and relates Arabic language to Islamic studies, Middle Eastern politics, and international business.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with Arabic language curricula and common challenges such as mastering right-to-left script, understanding root-based morphology, and navigating differences between MSA and spoken dialects. Adapts instruction using script practice workbooks, vocabulary root analysis, and authentic media exposure to support learners from absolute beginners through advanced students seeking ACTFL proficiency or academic Arabic competency.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
