Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pattern Maker to join our team at Varsity Brands. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the garment construction process, creating patterns that ensure the quality and fit of our customizable athletic wear. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of inspiring achievement and creating memorable experiences for young people.
Responsibilities
- Create and modify patterns for various types of athletic apparel.
- Utilize sewing machines and other equipment to produce sample garments.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure patterns align with design specifications.
- Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to patterns based on feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of patterns and revisions for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends and techniques related to garment construction.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pattern Maker or in a similar role within the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and fabric properties.
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and pattern-making tools.
- Ability to draft patterns accurately from sketches or specifications.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
