Varney Auto Group is looking for an friendly, experienced Parts Counterperson to join our growing team!

Our Parts Counter services as the hub for our customers seeking parts and accessories, our business clients at other shops needing OEM parts, and as the backbone to our service team to help get repairs done right. Enjoy a regular weekday workweek with no evenings or Saturday hours required.
What Duties Does the Role Include?
- Assist customers in selecting the correct auto parts and accessories based on their vehicle needs
- Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining accurate records using our inventory management system
- Process sales transactions efficiently using point-of-sale systems while handling cash and credit card payments with accuracy
- Build lasting customer relationships through excellent communication skills, personalized service, and understanding client needs
- Serve as a partner to our local business clients and help them obtain needed OEM parts
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure proper order fulfillment and timely delivery of parts to help support efficient maintenance and repair work
- Manage inventory through shipping and receiving outbound and incoming orders
- Complete parts deliveries to local customers as required
What Does the Role Require?
- Previous vehicle parts and/or accessories sales experience (GM and/or Ford specific experience is a big plus)
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems, parts, and accessories
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Provide parts department coverage at Varney Ford in Newport as needed
