Overview
Senior Android Developer with 10 years of native experience, building and maintaining native Android applications used for banking. Owns features from technical design through Play Store or enterprise release and remains accountable for stability, performance, and quality after release. Onsite five days a week, delivering in close partnership with product, design, and backend engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain native Android applications primarily in Kotlin
- Apply modern Android architecture components, Jetpack libraries, and recommended patterns
- Integrate with backend services, secure authentication, and analytics platforms
- Write unit, instrumentation, and UI tests and keep coverage high on critical user journeys
- Own the release path including staged rollout and post-release monitoring
- Investigate production crashes, ANRs, and performance problems through to lasting fix
- Collaborate with design and product partners
- Contribute to shared Android libraries and mobile delivery practices
- Mentor Android engineers and raise the technical bar of the mobile team
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of applied native Android experience
- Strong Kotlin skill and production Jetpack experience at senior depth
- Deep understanding of the Android application lifecycle, threading, and memory considerations
- Experience with networking, authentication, and secure local storage on Android
- Automated testing practice across unit and UI layers
- Experience shipping applications through Google Play or enterprise distribution
- Bachelor''s degree in a related technical field
- W2 only. , , or TN authorization
- Ability to work onsite in Plano, TX five days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Jetpack Compose experience
- Modularization and multi-module project structure
- Prior financial services or regulated mobile applications
- Proven production ownership on large scale consumer apps
