Varitec Solutions is seeking a conscientious, customer-focused & detail-oriented Project Manager / Estimator to join our growing Air Distribution team. The successful candidate will have HVAC, construction and/or engineering experience. This position plays a key role in providing industry-leading product knowledge, problem-solving skills and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications – Project Manager / Estimator
- High School Diploma
- HVAC industry experience is required. Equivalent construction and/or engineering experience will be considered
- A background or degree in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) is preferred

- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, ability to stay focused & ignore distractions

- Mechanical – technical aptitude/ability
- Ability to review and interpret construction documents and mechanical plans
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bidtracer, Bluebeam and Selection software
- Occasional overnight travel
- Responsibilities – Project Manager / Estimator
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of an Air Distribution project
- Proactively and regularly update status of deliverables to all relevant parties
- Complete accurate and detailed equipment take-offs
- Select highly configured products to match project requirements and specifications
- Calculate project total cost and profitability
- Generate accurate proposals with detailed equipment descriptions
- Produce comprehensive, complete and intuitive equipment submittals
- Respond to clients, manufacturing partners and internal team questions in a timely manner
- Provide accurate and timely project cost and billing information to accounting
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects ensuring deadlines are met
- Participate in technical issue resolution and troubleshooting
- Deliver installation, operating & maintenance manuals to client upon project completion
- Maintain up-to-date project documentation for access to all team members
- Track and communicate ship dates, freight and delivery status to all parties
- Build strong relationships with clients, internal team members and partners
- Attend all internal scheduled product, application and sales training
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
