What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2026 Summer School Program K-5 Litcamp Teachers (In Person Program) position at Various Locations?
Dates of Program: July 6, 2026 - July 30, 2026
Days of Program: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Locations: To Be Determined
Staff Needed: 90 General Education
30 Bilingual
5 Physical Education
5 Music
5 Arts
5 Technology
Qualifications:
- Must be a current employee at Paterson Public Schools
- Individuals employed as Susbstitutes need not apply.
- Must be working within the appropriate New Jersey Content Area
- New Jersey Teaching Certification in K-8, Language Arts, Science, Mathematics, or HQT, TOSD, TOH, ESL, Bilingual Endorsement, Physical Education, Music and Art Certification.
- Experience with Infinite Campus System for attendance reporting
- Experience with Google Classroom
- Model a growth mindset about new teaching and learning techniques
- Experience working with K-5 students
- Must complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner to run a successful program
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administrators and community
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
- Must be a critical thinker, problem solver and respect others.
