What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planogram Specialist position at Variety Wholesalers Inc?
Primary Duties and Responsibilites
- Create/Edit planograms based on merchant’s completed planogram worksheets using the Marketmax/Photoshop/Corel/Planoguide Software System.
- Consistent work processes are a must to allow Visual Planogram
- Merchandisers to move between assignments seamlessly. Create variations that are executable in all store layouts.
- Verify that planogram sets comply with legal and corporate presentation standards including counter height, ADA requirements, case pack compliancy, fixture documentation and more as directed by the Sr. Mgr. Mdse. Presentation/Auto Replenishment.
- Bring in-store product consistency to the organization.
- Capture images and measurements via the use of caliber tools, digital cameras and J Pegs, use of Photoshop to edit images as needed and update existing images housed on the Z Drive as needed.
- Move buyer paperwork to work status as assigned.
- Collaborate with merchant teams to ensure buyers submit/draw up flows if changes to any size planogram. Also ensure buyers submit or update fixture information pertaining to their planograms assigned.
- Frequent oral and written communication with Buyers to secure physical samples or J Peg of product samples and to finalize the product layout to maximize in stock and sales.
- Prepare approved planogram version copies for mailing as assigned.
- Order shelf labels for each version for mailing as assigned.
- Complete special projects as assigned, including but not limited to aiding in the planogram mailing process.
- Assist the Sr. Mgr. Mdse. Presentation/Auto Replenishment in maintaining open lines of communication within the department and with other divisions of the company.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 - 2 years of related experience.
- Experience in creating documents, planograms or planoguides.
- Proficient in Photoshop.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Strong merchandise presentation skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence others.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional team members and strive toward a unified vision.
- Proven success multi-tasking in a fast paced environment under pressure (accuracy and speed are a must).
