POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement territory sales and marketing plans to achieve aggressive business plan objectives.
- Generate new business by establishing relationships with retail shops and vendors in the defined area and making physical visits to customer sites.
- Present product to prospective retailers and open accounts while on-site. The ability to quickly learn our extensive product portfolio and enthusiastically present them to prospective customers is critical to success.
- Follow up on leads for potential customers, both in person and on the phone.
- Maintain a professional image of the company; always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Maintain accurate customer account records.
- Timely communication of market observations and trends.
- Accurate tracking of call logs and subsequent weekly/monthly reporting.
- Understand the power and influence of a brand in the marketplace.
- Represent at trade shows and conventions as needed. K. Ability to maintain ongoing account relationships, keeping customers informed of new products and trends in the industry and driving continued sales growth.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, SKILLS, BACKGROUND, & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Innate motivation to drive sales.
- Very strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to document results related to managing a growing territory.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Must have a clean driving record; background/MVR check will be conducted.
- Ability to travel up to 90% of the time, with some weekends required.
- Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred.
- Experience overcoming objections of prospective customers, a plus.
- Ability to be flexible as this business develops and the needs change.
