Job Summary
We are a growing machine shop in Plymouth seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (CNC Milling) to join our team. This role is ideal for a machinist with strong set-up experience who enjoys short-run, custom precision work, not repetitive operator roles.
You will work on challenging jobs where accuracy, judgment, and craftsmanship matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision custom parts
- Select tooling, set offsets, and make adjustments to meet tight tolerances
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and job specifications
- Machine and assemble components as required
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues
- Work closely with engineering and production to improve processes
- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work area
Requirements
- 3 years of CNC milling experience with set-up responsibility
- Ability to independently set up jobs and make machining adjustments
- Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Commitment to quality and consistency
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Fadal CNC Mills
- Willingness to learn Fadal controls if experienced on other CNC platforms
This role is not for machine operators. Set-up and adjustment experience is required.
Pay: $ $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
