Responsibilities
The Product Development Engineering Manager – Actuators is responsible for leading the design, development, and strategic direction of the actuator product lines, from concept to production:
- Lead new product design and development activities for actuator systems
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for actuator product lines
- Manage VA/VE initiatives and supplier resourcing pipelines
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all actuator-related matters
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders alongside Program Management
- Support new business quoting efforts and product benchmarking
- Up to 25% international and domestic travel as required
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
- 8 years of product development engineering experience, with 5 years in a leadership role
- Proficient in DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, DFA tools, and new product development processes
- Demonstrated experience with APQP and implementing design engineering changes
