Customer Service Industrial Parts

Now hiring for our new Akron Ohio office location... We mail catalogs to our customers, and they call us to purchase parts for their trucks and other business use. Will train the right candidate on our products and order entry system. If you have sales and service experience or want to gain that experience, it will be a big plus and you could be a good fit for this job. This is a great next career step from a regular auto parts counterperson. Our customers are mostly small business owners needing your help to find the correct item when they call in.

VARCo Industrial Supply is a fun family owned industrial supply warehouse that has grown over 1000% (not a typo) in the past 5 years. We have been serving our customers for nearly 50 years and looking forward to our next 50 years. Headquartered in Virginia, we also have a location in Arkansas besides our new Ohio office location.

We only hire top quality people and do not hire job jumpers so if you have had 5 jobs in 1 year, this is not the place for you. You must also have PERFECT attendance since we work hard and play hard but we DO NOT miss days here. If you miss a day within your 90 day probationary period you will be terminated.

This Position Will Be Responsible For:

• Selling and providing customer service over the phone, through our website varcosupply.com and via email.
• Ensuring orders and shipments are accurate and free of errors or issues.
• Confirm fitment, size and color of requested items.

Job Requirements:

• Excellent phone communication skills.
• Good typing and keyboarding skills.
• Ability to count accurately, do simple math and write legibly.
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines and assigned order times.
• Strong attention to detail and quality controls.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Starting pay based on experience.
• Review and raise in 90 days along with career path opportunities in a growing company.

Job Type: Full-time preferred but may consider part time as well depending on experience.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
