The Opportunity
We're looking for an Account Executive who loves the thrill of connecting the right solution to the right business owner — and who finds deep satisfaction in a closed-won that actually made a client's life better.
You won't be cold-calling into a void. You'll have warm leads, a proven playbook, and a team behind you. Your job is to listen well, guide confidently, and close smart.
What You'll Do
Sell with Expertise
- Consultative sales of QuickBooks software, bookkeeping services, migrations, and Quickbase workflow solutions
- Lead engaging demos that make clients say "wait — how did I not know about this?"
- Close deals across a healthy mix of warm inbound leads and self-generated opportunities
Build Real Relationships
- Prospect and nurture with purpose — sales cycles run 1 week to 2 months, so follow-through is your superpower
- Qualify with curiosity — you dig into the business pain before recommending anything
- Prepare accurate quotes handle objections like a pro, and champion every closed-won
Stay Sharp & Aligned
- Log everything in CRM — your discipline keeps the whole team in sync
- Collaborate with a small, mighty sales team where your wins are everyone's wins
- Represent VARC at trade shows and expos — industry visibility is part of the job
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- Min of 3 years of sales experience
- A natural ability to uncover business pain points and connect them to real solutions
- Strong relationship-building skills — you're the kind of person clients actually look forward to hearing from
- Responsiveness and urgency — you don't let emails or calls collect dust
- Hands-on experience with CRM platforms
- Genuine curiosity and excitement about technology and how it helps businesses
- Comfort following proven processes — and the confidence to flag improvements when you see them
Bonus Points
- Background in IT, consulting, bookkeeping, or a CPA/accounting firm
- Degree in accounting, business, or a software-related field
- Familiarity with QuickBooks, Quickbase, or similar business tools
