What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Administrator position at Vapor Point?
Position Summary
Perform general administrative safety/project support for internal and external compliance. They provide coordination for new hire orientation, Short Service completion, safety council scheduling, and on-going training for employees. They coordinate all scheduling and medical testing for employees to ensure timely and accurate compliance for the company and our clients.
Safety
· Establishing and maintaining safety functions within safety compliance consortiums to include, but not limited to, updating and managing company information. The HSE Admin would work directly with the HSE Director to complete and manage this task
· Management of ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta, and other safety compliance consortiums
· Scheduling of customer/VP safety training at safety council, schools, office
· Manage client site requirements for D&A testing (DISA/ASAP). Schedule employees on a as needed basis. Maintain a “green” status’ for employees on our rosters.
· Serves as liaison to ensure new hire employees have completed required training from new hire process to SSE process from a documentation and recordkeeping standpoint.
· Serves as liaison for temporary workers (temp labor) to ensure all necessary background screenings, D&A testing, training, and other customer entry requirements are met and tracked.
· Attend Safety meetings, document safety meetings, assign safety topics to employees to encourage participation to include Vapor Point’s Safety Committee
· Management of Employee Safety Files
· Management of various data tracking sheets
· Maintains OSHA 300 logs
· Assist the HSE Director with management of the company’s BBS platform SafetyCulture
· Provide administrative assistance to the members of the safety department, human resources department, sales department, and operations department as needed
· Other duties as assigned by Director of Safety
· Assisting operations with Badge Request for all customer sites
· Assist with Worker’s Comp, scheduling employees at the clinic
· Request Certificate of Insurance from Insurance Company
· File and maintain Certificate of Insurance, assist with annual renewals
· Management of Vapor Point’s Vendor Vetting Program

· Contractor Safety Council Portals (ex: HASC, ISTC, WTSC, Alliance, OSCA)
· Education: High School Diploma
· Must be able to communicate both orally and written in English
· Good written and verbal skills when addressing either individuals or groups
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work with employees and contractors within all levels of the organization is required
· Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
· Ability to present information in classroom and conference call settings

Experience/Skills Preferred:
· 2 years of health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental or related field
· TWIC card
· Knowledge of chemical and waste requirements
· Experience training in safety, environmental, health and industrial hygiene
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
