Order Picker/Receiver

At Vapor Lounge, our Warehouse Associates utilize their superior attention to detail to execute the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, staging, and packing products/inventory for distribution from the warehouse. Duties include counting and organizing incoming stock, selecting products for transfer, loading for delivery, and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing shipments to meet established deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interfaces with delivery personnel and completes the receiving process for new products/shipments.
• Validates all documentation (packing slip, bill of lading) to ensure the accuracy of all merchandise/inventory entering or exiting the warehouse.
• Identifies any missing or damaged materials and notifies management.
• Unloads product while ensuring inventory accuracy by making sure items are organized, labeled, stored in a blue bin or in the proper designated back stock area.
• Locate product in the warehouse to build transfers/shipments for distribution to stores.
• Follow all procedures to ensure inventory is received and transferred without errors.
• Inspects products for defects, expiration dates and damage before sending products.
• Ensures that all merchandise is safely and securely packaged and labeled for shipping.
• Load delivery vehicle for transporting materials/products.
• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse.

Successful candidates will bring the following experience and skills to our team:

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of 1 year of warehouse / inventory experience preferred
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and Insurance

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrates ability to quickly learn inventory processes and effectively communicate with team members.
• Exhibits excellent work ethic (always looking for tasks to keep busy), superior attention to detail and the ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
• Demonstrates the ability to work as a part of a team with a desire to grow and improve performance through feedback and coaching.

Physical Demands

• Requires periods during which continuous physical exertion is required such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting materials, some of which may be heavy or awkward. Ability to work standing for 8 hours a day.
• Warehouse environment can expose associates to temperature fluctuations (hot/cold)
• Required to lift up to 50lbs frequently; lift up to 70lbs occasionally

We pride ourselves on maintaining a professional team-based environment and therefore, our Warehouse Associates must meet the following expectations:

• Associates must present themselves in a professional manner through appropriate language and appropriate attire. Must be flexible and able to work any shift during our hours of operation (7am – 5:30pm) including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work additional shifts as needed.

Individuals selected will have the ability to earn up to $20.00 an hour, and if performance warrants, participate in our monthly bonus program. Associates are eligible to enroll in health care benefits (medical, vision, dental) after 60 days of employment, accrue paid time off and receive discounts on our products. After the completion of one year of service, associates are eligible to participate in our 401k program that is matched by the company.
