Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics - 5053

We have a new need for a Registered Nurse - Pediatrics at Barksdale AFB, Bossier City, Louisiana.

Job Specific Details and Tasks: The duties for the RN include but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinate patient care collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, striving for optimal clinical care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to care standards, established policies, procedures, and facility guidelines, including conducting peer reviews.
• Perform physical examinations and health histories.
• Provide health promotion, counseling, and education.
• Administer medications, deliver wound care, and provide personalized interventions.
• Direct and oversee healthcare professionals in the delivery of care.
• Assign patient care based on personnel skill levels and scope of practice.
• Recognize adverse signs and symptoms, responding swiftly in emergency situations.
• Foster communication and collaboration within the healthcare team, offering education for the benefit of patients, families, and the organization.
• Arrange referral appointments and specialty care as needed.
• Deliver nursing services as outlined in the unit.
• Engage in research to enhance practice and patient outcomes.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: ASN Degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience: Minimum one (1) year of recent post-grad RN clinical experience
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license from any state.
• Life Support Certification: Maintain current AHA or ARC BLS Certification.
• Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Pay Scale: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour, to be determined based on qualifications and experience
Sign-on Bonus: $2,000.00 payable with first paycheck.
