Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Superintendent with 10 years of experience working for a General Contractor to lead day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating site activities, maintaining schedules and quality standards, and ensuring a safe, productive job site from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily field operations and jobsite execution
- Coordinate with subcontractors to address schedule impacts, develop recovery plans, and remove obstacles to progress
- Monitor project progress and assist with schedule recovery when needed
- Read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications to plan procedures and ensure proper execution
- Maintain accurate jobsite documentation and daily reports
- Actively manage jobsite safety through inspections, training, and site walks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
- 10 years of Superintendent experience with a General Contractor
- Proven experience on commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA certification or strong working knowledge of jobsite safety requirements
