Description
This position is responsible for supporting our Patient Account Representatives in resolving outstanding accounts and providing excellent customer service to our patients. Some knowledge of medical insurance billing processes is preferred. Qualified candidates will have solid organizational abilities and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities Include
Filing claims to primary and secondary payers
Contacting insurance companies to verify medical insurance coverage
Responding to patient and insurance inquiries
Researching and resolving outstanding accounts
Posting incoming insurance mail to patient accounts
Answering incoming customer service calls
Communicating professionally with patients, insurance companies, and facility personnel
Prerequisites
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
1 Year Of Previous Office Experience Is Preferred
2 years of previous data entry experience is required
Experience with program applications including Windows
Experience With Epic Preferred.
Proficiency in Excel preferred.
Qualifications
Must have strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy
Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment
Must be able to meet multiple deadlines consistently
Must have a great attendance record
Excellent customer service and communication skills
