Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a clean background, a strong driving record, and excellent communication skills to interact warmly with our customers. This role requires the ability to assist passengers, including those with mobility challenges, and to ensure their safety during transport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments in a safe and timely manner.
- Assist passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicle, including pushing wheelchairs up ramps as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle in accordance with company policies.
- Provide friendly and supportive communication to clients, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy.
- Complete necessary documentation for each ride, including reports of any issues or incidents.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch and other team members to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Must be able to work early mornings
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no serious violations within the last 3 years).
- Clean background check, including no felony convictions or drug-related charges.
- Ability to pass a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Previous experience in transportation, healthcare, or customer service is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Physical ability to assist passengers and handle equipment such as wheelchairs.
