With a diverse portfolio of properties, including Group Homes, Supportive Housing units, and Administrative Offices, we are seeking a skilled Director of Facilities Management to oversee and optimize our multi-site operations.
Position Overview:
Vantage Health System is seeking a hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee 20 residential and program sites across Bergen County. This role combines technical repair skills, regulatory compliance, and leadership of a small maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform & supervise general repairs (carpentry, plumbing, light electrical, painting, HVAC troubleshooting).
· Oversee work orders, emergencies, and safety concerns.
· Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with CARF, DMHAS, and local fire/safety standards.
· Coordinate emergency drills (fire, active shooter, weather events).
· Oversee vendors, obtain bids, supervise project work.
· Lead and schedule maintenance staff; manage payroll submissions.
· Maintain property documentation, inspection logs, and warranties.
· Maintain accurate records of the agency’s vehicle fleet, including service schedules, inspections, and repair work.
Qualifications
· 5 years in facilities, building maintenance, or trades.
· Strong hands-on repair skills required.
· Experience with multi-site oversight preferred.
· Valid NJ driver’s license.
Schedule
- Full-Time, Monday–Friday (8:30-4:30) Must be available for emergencies.
- Flexibility required during inclement weather to coordinate snow plowing, salting, emergency responses to mitigate disruption within the 4 Group Homes and/or Agency operations.)
- Weekends and all major holidays off
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting at 57,000.00 annually, with additional compensation based on years of experience.
