Multi-Family Leasing Agent / Assistant Community Director
Job Summary
The Multi-Family Leasing Agent / Assistant Community Director is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the apartment community while driving leasing performance, resident satisfaction, and occupancy goals. This role combines sales, customer service, and administrative management to ensure efficient property operations and a positive resident experience. The position assists the Community Director with property management duties while actively leasing apartments and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective residents.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Sales
- Greet prospective residents and conduct professional community and apartment tours.
- Present and explain lease terms, pricing, policies, and community amenities.
- Follow up with leads through phone, email, and CRM systems to convert prospects into residents.
- Process rental applications, perform screening procedures, and prepare lease documents.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, traffic, and leasing activity.
- Achieve and maintain occupancy and leasing goals.
- Perform daily unit inspections
- Mini Model set up as needed
- Create social media posts and promote online engagement
- Network with vendors and industry professionals
Resident Relations
- Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
- Respond to resident inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate resident move-ins and move-outs.
- Assist with resident retention efforts and renewal processes.
- Promote and help coordinate community events and resident engagement initiatives.
Property Operations Support
- Assist the Community Director in overseeing daily property operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing regulations, and lease agreements.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of service requests.
- Monitor property appearance, model units, and common areas.
- Assist with rent collection, delinquency follow-ups, and reporting.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain leasing files, documentation, and reports.
- Update marketing platforms and online listings.
- Track leasing metrics and occupancy trends.
- Assist with budgeting, invoices, and office management tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in multi-family property management, leasing, sales, or customer service preferred.
- Strong sales, confident communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Outgoing, people-oriented professional who trives in a fast paced enviroment and genuinely enjoys assisting others with a warm, hospitable demeanor.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing practices preferred.
- Ability to learn property management software (such as Yardi or Resman)
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.

Work Environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
