What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Equity Representative position at VANTAGE CREDIT UNION?
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain knowledge of and adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Complete all necessary paperwork to ensure loans are processed and follow-up is done in a timely manner.
- Order all required third party services such as Valuation, Flood and Title. Review and prepare all checklists as required for these services.
- Prepare and ensure appropriate liens are placed and subordinations processed as required.
- Conduct post close loan reviews for accuracy within department guidelines and policies.
- Supports and assists area personnel, members, branch staff, and other departments as needed.
- Communicates and coordinates with borrowers throughout the application process as needed.
- Maintain department expected SLAs.
- Performs miscellaneous clerical functions as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Consumer Lending Manager or Director of Lending.
KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of home equity loan products and services.
- Knowledge of home equity processing functions and related processes.
- Knowledge of Credit Union loan policies, procedures, products, processing, and guidelines.
- Understanding of applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- The individual should have 1 years of experience of loan processing experience in a consumer lending role, preferably within a credit union.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions:
- Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period.
- Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.
- Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds.
- Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device.
- Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment.
- Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.
Salary : $18 - $23
