Senior Mechanical Engineer / Supervising Mechanical Engineer II
Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Monday to Thursday in-office, Friday half-day remote

Senior Mechanical Engineers will lead the design and delivery of complex mechanical systems, while Supervising Mechanical Engineers will take on broader leadership responsibilities including project management, client relationships, team development, and serving as Engineer of Record.
The Role
Lead the design and delivery of mission-critical mechanical systems for Critical Facilities and Data Center projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include project leadership, staff supervision, client management, budgeting, scheduling, proposal development, and serving as Engineer of Record.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems for Critical Facilities, Data Centers, Healthcare, Commercial, and Aviation projects.
- Develop project specifications, system narratives, design standards, and engineering criteria.
- Perform system analysis, equipment selection, and technical evaluations.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, owners, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Maintain interdisciplinary coordination with internal and external engineering consultants.
- Participate in construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, bulletins, addenda, field reports, and site visits.
- Lead project coordination meetings and oversee project technical delivery.
- Serve as Engineer of Record on designated projects.
- Supervise engineering staff, mentor junior team members, and support technical training initiatives.
- Conduct employee evaluations and assist with staff development.
- Support project budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and financial management.
- Prepare proposals, administer project contracts, and assist with business development activities.
- Monitor project performance, client communication, and project documentation.
- Participate in technical leadership committees and firmwide engineering initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 8 years of MEP consulting engineering experience for Senior Mechanical Engineer level.
- 12 years of MEP consulting engineering experience for Supervising Mechanical Engineer level.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong Critical Facilities and/or Data Center project experience preferred.
- Healthcare project experience highly desirable.
- Hands-on mechanical design experience within a consulting engineering environment.
- Proficiency with Revit and CAD design software.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, engineering standards, and applicable codes.
- Experience managing project teams, coordinating multidisciplinary designs, and interfacing directly with clients.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.
