Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support optometrists in providing high-quality patient care by performing various clinical and administrative tasks. Your expertise will help ensure that patients receive the best possible eye care experience, from initial assessments to follow-up visits.
Responsibilities
- Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and equipment.
- Conduct preliminary tests including visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception assessments.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories in the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens care and eyewear options.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls for patient care.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance patient flow and satisfaction.
- Provide support in medical coding for insurance claims as necessary.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the eye and vision.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology practices and procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to service.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems, preferably Revolution EHR.
- Ability to apply retail math concepts for inventory management and sales support.
- Strong attention to detail with effective communication skills.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
